Bhagavad Gita 7.24

Krishna speaking to Arjuna

अव्यक्तं व्यक्ितमापन्नं मन्यन्ते मामबुद्धयः। परं भावमजानन्तो ममाव्ययमनुत्तमम् ॥

avyaktaṁ vyaktim āpannaṁ manyante mām abuddhayaḥ paraṁ bhāvam ajānanto mamāvyayam anuttamam

Those devoid of Reason think of Me, the unmanifest, as having manifestation, knowing not My supreme nature, imperishable, most excellent.

In plain words: Krishna says people who do not understand think he is only a visible, limited form. They do not know his highest nature, which is beyond form and never dies.
