Bhagavad Gita 12.16

Krishna speaking to Arjuna

अनपेक्षः शुचिर्दक्ष उदासीनो गतव्यथः। सर्वारम्भपरित्यागी यो मद्भक्तः स मे प्रियः ॥

anapekṣhaḥ śhuchir dakṣha udāsīno gata-vyathaḥ sarvārambha-parityāgī yo mad-bhaktaḥ sa me priyaḥ

He who wants nothing, is pure, expert, passionless, untroubled, renouncing every undertaking, he, My devotee, is dear to Me.

In plain words: Krishna says he loves the devotee who does not crave things. This person is pure in heart and skillful, and stays calm and untroubled. They do not act out of selfish ambition.
