yāvadetān nirīkṣhe ’haṁ yoddhu-kāmān avasthitān
kairmayā saha yoddhavyam asmin raṇa-samudyame
That I may behold these standing, longing for battle, with whom I must strive in this outbreaking war,
In plain words: Arjuna says he wants to look at the people on the other side who are eager to fight. These are the people he will have to battle in this war.
