← Arjuna's Dilemma

Bhagavad Gita 1.21

Arjuna speaking to Krishna

हृषीकेशं तदा वाक्यमिदमाह महीपते। सेनयोरुभयोर्मध्ये रथं स्थापय मेऽच्युत ॥

senayor ubhayor madhye rathaṁ sthāpaya me ’chyuta

And spake this word to Hrishîkesha, O Lord of Earth: Arjuna said: In the midst, between the two armies, stay my chariot, O Achyuta,

In plain words: Arjuna, the warrior prince, asks Krishna, who is driving his chariot, to stop it in the open space between the two armies. Hrishikesha and Achyuta are names for Krishna.
