Yoga Sutras 3.31
Patanjali, explained by Swami Vivekananda
कण्ठकूपे क्षुत्पिपासानिवृत्तिः ॥
kaṇṭhakūpe kṣutpipāsānivṛttiḥ
On the hollow of the throat, (comes) cessation of hunger.
In plain words: By focusing deeply on the hollow of the throat, a yogi can stop feeling hunger and thirst.
Swami Vivekananda explains
When a man is very hungry, if he can make Samyama on the hollow of the throat, hunger ceases.
