This highest mystery in the Vedanta, delivered in a former age, should not be given to one whose passions have not been subdued, nor to one who is not a son, or who is not a pupil.
In plain words: This deepest secret of the Upanishads, taught long ago, should not be given to someone who has not controlled their desires. It is only for one's own son or a true student.
