He who has known him who is more subtile than subtile, in the midst of chaos, creating all things, having many forms, alone enveloping everything, the happy one (Siva), passes into peace for ever.

In plain words: God is finer and more hidden than the smallest thing. He creates everything in the middle of chaos, takes many forms, and surrounds all things. He is called Shiva, "the kind one." Whoever knows him gains peace forever.
