Chandogya Upanishad 6.7.4

'Then wilt thou understand me.' Then Svetaketu ate, and afterwards approached his father. And whatever his father asked him, he knew it all by heart. Then his father said to him:

In plain words: The father promises Svetaketu he will understand after he eats. Svetaketu eats, comes back, and now he can answer every question and recite everything by heart.
