prayatnād yatamānas tu yogī sanśhuddha-kilbiṣhaḥ
aneka-janma-sansiddhas tato yāti parāṁ gatim
But the Yogî, labouring with assiduity, purified from sin, fully perfected through manifold births, he reacheth the supreme goal.
In plain words: Krishna says the yogi who keeps working hard and is cleansed of wrongdoing becomes fully perfect over many lifetimes. In the end, they reach the highest goal.
