jyāyasī chet karmaṇas te matā buddhir janārdana
tat kiṁ karmaṇi ghore māṁ niyojayasi keśhava
If it be thought by Thee that knowledge is superior to action, O Janârdana, why dost Thou, O Keshava, enjoin on me this terrible action?
In plain words: Arjuna is confused. He asks Krishna, calling him Janārdana and Keshava, why Krishna is pushing him into this terrible battle if knowledge is better than action.
