Bhagavad Gita 2.60

Krishna speaking to Arjuna

यततो ह्यपि कौन्तेय पुरुषस्य विपश्चितः। इन्द्रियाणि प्रमाथीनि हरन्ति प्रसभं मनः ॥

yatato hyapi kaunteya puruṣhasya vipaśhchitaḥ indriyāṇi pramāthīni haranti prasabhaṁ manaḥ

O son of Kuntî, the excited senses of even a wise man, though he be striving, impetuously carry away his mind.

In plain words: Krishna warns Arjuna, called son of Kuntī after his mother, that the senses are powerful. Even a wise person who is trying hard can have their mind dragged away by them.
