Bhagavad Gita 2.59

Krishna speaking to Arjuna

विषया विनिवर्तन्ते निराहारस्य देहिनः। रसवर्जं रसोऽप्यस्य परं दृष्ट्वा निवर्तते ॥

viṣhayā vinivartante nirāhārasya dehinaḥ rasa-varjaṁ raso ’pyasya paraṁ dṛiṣhṭvā nivartate

The objects of sense, but not the relish for them, turn away from an abstemious dweller in the body; and even relish turneth away from him after the Supreme is seen.

In plain words: A person who stays away from pleasures may stop having them, but the craving for them can still stay inside. Even that craving goes away once the person experiences the Supreme, the highest truth.
