प्रह्लादश्चास्मि दैत्यानां कालः कलयतामहम्।
मृगाणां च मृगेन्द्रोऽहं वैनतेयश्च पक्षिणाम् ॥
prahlādaśh chāsmi daityānāṁ kālaḥ kalayatām aham
mṛigāṇāṁ cha mṛigendro ’haṁ vainateyaśh cha pakṣhiṇām
And I am Prahlâda of Daityas; of calculators Time am I; and of wild beasts I the imperial beast; and Vainateya of birds.
In plain words: Krishna says that among the Daityas, a race of demons, he is Prahlada, a boy famous for his devotion to God. Among things that measure, he is Time. Among wild animals he is the lion, and among birds he is Garuda (Vainateya), the great eagle who carries Vishnu.
