Yoga Sutras 1.44

Patanjali, explained by Swami Vivekananda

एतयैव सविचारा निर्विचारा च सूक्ष्मविषया व्याख्याता ॥

etayaiva savicārā nirvicārā ca sūkṣmaviṣayā vyākhyātā

By this process, (the concentrations) with discrimination and without discrimination, whose objects are finer, are (also) explained.

In plain words: The same two levels, one with thinking and one without, also apply when meditating on subtler, finer things instead of physical objects. These are called meditation with and without discrimination (savichara and nirvichara).

Swami Vivekananda explains

A process similar to the preceding is applied again; only, the objects to be taken up in the former meditations are gross; in this they are fine.
