'It is thought to be known (as if) by awakening, and (then) we obtain immortality indeed. By the Self we obtain strength, by knowledge we obtain immortality.

In plain words: Brahman is known in a kind of waking up, and through that we gain a life that never dies. The true Self gives us strength, and this knowing gives us immortality.
