Chandogya Upanishad 4.3.3

'Now with reference to the body. Breath (prâna) is indeed the end of all. When a man sleeps, speech goes into breath, so do sight, hearing, and mind. Breath indeed consumes them all.

In plain words: In the same way, inside the body, breath (prana, the life-breath) is where everything ends up. When a person sleeps, speech, sight, hearing, and the mind all go back into the breath. Breath takes them all in.
