Chandogya Upanishad 3.9.4

So long as the sun rises in the west and sets in the east, twice as long does it rise in the north and set in the south; and so long does he follow the sovereign supremacy of the Maruts.

In plain words: This verse describes a huge stretch of cosmic time, told as the sun rising and setting from different directions. For that whole age, the knower shares the rule of the Maruts, the storm gods.
