Chandogya Upanishad 3.17.3
When a man laughs, eats, and delights himself, he does it with the Stuta-sastras (hymns sung and recited at the sacrifices).
In plain words: When a person laughs, eats and has fun, that is like singing the hymns at a ritual. Joy itself is a kind of praise.
