Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 3.7.18

'He who dwells in the eye, and within the eye, whom the eye does not know, whose body the eye is, and who pulls (rules) the eye within, he is thy Self, the puller (ruler) within, the immortal.'

In plain words: Yagnavalkya continues: there is something living inside your eye that the eye itself cannot see. It uses the eye and guides it from within. That inner guide is your true Self, and it never dies.
