Ramayana 6.22.11

O’er the broad way the Vánars sped, Nor swayed it with their countless tread. Exultant on the ocean strand Vibhishaṇ stood, and, mace in hand, Longed eager for the onward way, And chafed impatient at delay.

In plain words: The monkeys rush across the bridge, and it does not shake under their countless steps. Vibhishana, Ravana's brother who joined Rama, stands on the shore holding his mace, impatient to move on.
