Vidura Niti 7.5

Vidura speaking to King Dhritarashtra

They that are quarrelsome, covetous, shameless, deceitful, are known to be unrighteous, and their companionship should always be avoided. One should also avoid those men that are endued with similar faults of a grave nature. When the occasion that caused the friendship is over the friendship of those that are low, the beneficial result of that connection, and the happiness also derivable from it, all come to an end.

In plain words: Avoid people who are quarrelsome, greedy, shameless and dishonest, and others with similar serious faults. Friendship with low-minded people lasts only as long as the reason for it. When that reason is gone, the friendship and its benefits end too.
