Bhagavad Gita 8.25

Krishna speaking to Arjuna

धूमो रात्रिस्तथा कृष्णः षण्मासा दक्षिणायनम्। तत्र चान्द्रमसं ज्योतिर्योगी प्राप्य निवर्तते ॥

dhūmo rātris tathā kṛiṣhṇaḥ ṣhaṇ-māsā dakṣhiṇāyanam tatra chāndramasaṁ jyotir yogī prāpya nivartate

Smoke, night-time, the dark fortnight also, the six months of the southern path—then the Yogî, obtaining the moonlight, returneth.

In plain words: Krishna names the dark path: smoke, night, the waning moon, and the six months when the sun moves south. A yogi who dies on this path reaches the light of the moon, and then he comes back to be born again.
