Bhagavad Gita 2.37

Krishna speaking to Arjuna

हतो वा प्राप्स्यसि स्वर्गं जित्वा वा भोक्ष्यसे महीम्। तस्मादुत्तिष्ठ कौन्तेय युद्धाय कृतनिश्चयः ॥

hato vā prāpsyasi swargaṁ jitvā vā bhokṣhyase mahīm tasmād uttiṣhṭha kaunteya yuddhāya kṛita-niśhchayaḥ

Slain, thou wilt obtain heaven; victorious, thou wilt enjoy the earth; therefore stand up, O son of Kuntî, resolute to fight.

In plain words: Krishna tells Arjuna (called son of Kuntī, his mother) that he cannot lose by fighting. If he dies, he goes to heaven, and if he wins, he rules the earth, so he should stand up and fight with resolve.
