Bhagavad Gita 2.1

Sanjaya speaking to King Dhritarashtra

तं तथा कृपयाऽविष्टमश्रुपूर्णाकुलेक्षणम्। विषीदन्तमिदं वाक्यमुवाच मधुसूदनः ॥

taṁ tathā kṛipayāviṣhṭamaśhru pūrṇākulekṣhaṇam viṣhīdantamidaṁ vākyam uvācha madhusūdanaḥ

To him thus with pity overcome, with smarting brimming eyes, despondent, Madhusûdana spake these words:

In plain words: Sanjaya describes Arjuna full of pity, with tears in his eyes and lost in sadness. Then Krishna, called Madhusūdana ("slayer of the demon Madhu"), begins to speak to him.
