Bhagavad Gita 18.43

Krishna speaking to Arjuna

शौर्यं तेजो धृतिर्दाक्ष्यं युद्धे चाप्यपलायनम्। दानमीश्वरभावश्च क्षात्रं कर्म स्वभावजम् ॥

śhauryaṁ tejo dhṛitir dākṣhyaṁ yuddhe chāpy apalāyanam dānam īśhvara-bhāvaśh cha kṣhātraṁ karma svabhāva-jam

Prowess, splendour, firmness, dexterity, and also not flying from battle, generosity, the nature of a ruler, are the Kshattriya duty, born of his own nature.

In plain words: Krishna lists the natural duties of a Kshattriya, a warrior or ruler. They are courage, strength of spirit, steadiness, skill, not running from battle, generosity and leadership.
