Bhagavad Gita 18.16

Krishna speaking to Arjuna

तत्रैवं सति कर्तारमात्मानं केवलं तु यः। पश्यत्यकृतबुद्धित्वान्न स पश्यति दुर्मतिः ॥

tatraivaṁ sati kartāram ātmānaṁ kevalaṁ tu yaḥ paśhyaty akṛita-buddhitvān na sa paśhyati durmatiḥ

That being so, he verily who—owing to untrained Reason—looketh on his Self, which is isolated, as the actor, he of perverted intelligence, seeth not.

In plain words: Krishna says since action comes from these five causes, a person with untrained thinking who believes the true Self is the doer has a twisted view. That person does not see clearly.
