Bhagavad Gita 15.4

Krishna speaking to Arjuna

ततः पदं तत्परिमार्गितव्य यस्मिन्गता न निवर्तन्ति भूयः। तमेव चाद्यं पुरुषं प्रपद्ये यतः प्रवृत्तिः प्रसृता पुराणी ॥

tataḥ padaṁ tat parimārgitavyaṁ yasmin gatā na nivartanti bhūyaḥ tam eva chādyaṁ puruṣhaṁ prapadye yataḥ pravṛittiḥ prasṛitā purāṇī

That path beyond may be sought, treading which there is no return. I go indeed to that Primal Man, whence the ancient energy forth-streamed.

In plain words: Krishna says that after cutting the tree, a person should seek the path beyond it, and whoever takes it never comes back to this world. They should seek shelter in the First Being, from whom all of creation first flowed.
