Bhagavad Gita 13.9

Krishna speaking to Arjuna

इन्द्रियार्थेषु वैराग्यमनहङ्कार एव च। जन्ममृत्युजराव्याधिदुःखदोषानुदर्शनम् ॥

indriyārtheṣhu vairāgyam anahankāra eva cha janma-mṛityu-jarā-vyādhi-duḥkha-doṣhānudarśhanam

Dispassion towards the objects of the senses, and also absence of egoism, insight into the pain and evil of birth, death, old age and sickness,

In plain words: Krishna continues: wisdom also means not being pulled by sense pleasures and not being self-centered. It means seeing clearly the suffering that comes with birth, death, old age and sickness.
