Bhagavad Gita 12.5

Krishna speaking to Arjuna

क्लेशोऽधिकतरस्तेषामव्यक्तासक्तचेतसाम्। अव्यक्ता हि गतिर्दुःखं देहवद्भिरवाप्यते ॥

kleśho ’dhikataras teṣhām avyaktāsakta-chetasām avyaktā hi gatir duḥkhaṁ dehavadbhir avāpyate

The difficulty of those whose minds are set on the Unmanifested is greater; for the path of the Unmanifested is hard for the embodied to reach.

In plain words: Krishna says that the path of the formless is harder. It is difficult for people living in a body to set their hearts on something that has no form.
