Bhagavad Gita 10.33

Krishna speaking to Arjuna

अक्षराणामकारोऽस्मि द्वन्द्वः सामासिकस्य च। अहमेवाक्षयः कालो धाताऽहं विश्वतोमुखः ॥

अहमेवाक्षय: कालो धाताहं विश्वतोमुख: || 33|| akṣharāṇām a-kāro ’smi dvandvaḥ sāmāsikasya cha aham evākṣhayaḥ kālo dhātāhaṁ viśhvato-mukhaḥ

Of letters the letter A I am, and the duality of a compound; I also everlasting Time; I the Supporter, whose face turns everywhere.

In plain words: Krishna says he is the letter A, the first sound of the alphabet. In grammar he is the joining of two equal words. He is endless Time. He is the one who holds everything up and sees in every direction.
